Jo Ann Greene Huff, 28 December 1938 - 23 March 2019

GRAY - Jo Ann Greene Huff, 80, of Gray, passed away on Saturday, March 23, at her residence.

She was a native of Johnson City, and a daughter of the late Earl and Danford Walker Greene.

Jo Ann received her Bachelor’s in education from ETSU. Afterward she served as an elementary school teacher, working to educate both in the states and overseas. When she retired, she went on to become a business owner, operating Tri-Cities Jewelry.

She was very artistic, painting to fill her time and home over the years. She loved life, the rest of her time spent traveling and enjoying the sights and new experiences. Jo Ann was a kind and caring person; while she had no children of her own, she served as a mother to many, ready to help anyone who needed her.

In addition to her parents, Jo Ann is preceded in death by: her husband, Carl Huff; three sisters, Peggy Greene, Diane Rutledge, and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Swink.

Survivors include: cherished dog, Pepper; niece, Robin Ledford; nephew, Jeremy Rutledge; great nieces, Ashlee Simerly and Emma Grace Rutledge; special friends, Sue Seaver, Leah Knotts, and Pam Perkins; as well as many other close friends made throughout her life.

The family of Jo Ann Huff will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A committal service will be conducted immediately following at 3:00 PM at Monte-Vista Memorial Park.
